Product introduction
βC titanium alloy, corresponding to the domestic grade TB9, is also known as Ti-38644 titanium alloy, with nominal composition Ti-3Al-8V-6Cr-4Mo-4Zr. It is a metastable beta titanium alloy that, with appropriate heat treatment, can exhibit high strength, good ductility, high fatigue strength, and good toughness. The content of beta-stabilizing elements such as V, Cr, and Mo is approximately 20% (wt), which allows the beta phase generated in the high-temperature matrix to remain at room temperature, enhancing the strength of the βC alloy while maintaining good plasticity. Zr, as a neutral element, mainly provides solid solution strengthening in the matrix. Therefore, the βC alloy has high comprehensive strength and good low-temperature plasticity. Different combinations of heat treatments can be used to achieve varying plasticity matching, and the strengthening effect of heat treatment is significant, with strength reaching over 1300MPa after solution aging treatment.

1. Physical properties
The phase transformation point of βC titanium alloy bars is approximately 780°C, with a density of 4.5g/cm3 and a Poisson's ratio of 0.34.

Product Features and Applications
The alloy has excellent properties such as high strength, good toughness, low elastic modulus, good corrosion resistance, and good cold formability. It is widely used in fields such as aviation springs, high-strength fasteners, torsion bars, foil honeycomb structures, aircraft carrier catapult systems, off-road motorcycle springs, and natural gas and oil downhole pipeline systems. Under constant solution temperature, as aging temperature increases, its strength decreases while plasticity improves. Depending on the type of fasteners and manufacturing processes, βC titanium alloy rods can be used directly in the solution aging state or can be cold drawn after solution treatment and then aged.
