Grade1 Titanium Tube

Titanium tubes are lightweight, high-strength, and have superior mechanical properties. Widely used in shell and tube heat exchangers, coil heat exchangers, serpentine heat exchangers, condensers, evaporators, pipelines and other heat exchange equipment. Many nuclear power plants use titanium tubes as a standard configuration for their units.

Titanium tubes are the preferred material for heat exchangers in seawater desalination equipment. Due to the strong corrosiveness of seawater, when copper, carbon steel, or stainless steel is used as the cooling medium, seawater can cause severe corrosion to pipelines, significantly reducing the service life of heat exchangers. Therefore, titanium is an excellent alternative material that not only reduces the number of equipment replacements, but also improves economic efficiency.

Material properties:
Gr. 1 titanium tube corresponds to the domestic brand TA1 (pure titanium), with excellent corrosion resistance (seawater resistance, acid and alkali media), low density (4.51g / cm³), high plasticity (30% elongation), and excellent biocompatibility.
