Ti-5Mo-5V-8Cr-3Al Titanium Alloy Rod

Ti-5Mo-5V-8Cr-3Al titanium alloy, corresponding to the domestic grade TB2, is a near-β type titanium alloy. Ti-5Mo-5V-8Cr-3Al titanium alloy has many advantages such as excellent cold working forming performance, high creep aging strength and fracture toughness, large quenching depth, good corrosion resistance, good instantaneous performance at high temperature, and excellent welding performance. It is often used to manufacture solid rocket engine shells, sheet metal parts, pressure vessels, aircraft missile skins, star arrow connecting belts, etc., and is also used as a material for load-bearing structural parts of spacecraft cabins. It is suitable for manufacturing aerospace fasteners that work below 300°C, or aerospace fasteners that work for short periods of time below 500°C. At present, the commonly used standards in China are GB/T2965-2007 "Titanium and Titanium Alloy Bars" and GJB2219A-2015 "Specifications for Titanium and Titanium Alloy Rod and Wire for Fasteners".

1.Physical Properties
The density of Ti-5Mo-5V-8Cr-3Al titanium alloy is 4.83g/cm3, the elastic modulus at room temperature is 85GPa~110GPa, and the Poisson's ratio: 0.33.

2.Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of Ti-5Mo-5V-8Cr-3Al titanium alloy rods at room temperature are shown in Table 1.

The elastic modulus and tensile strength of the solid-solution bar at different temperatures are shown in Table 2.
