1,Product Overview

Ti6242 titanium alloy, corresponding to the domestic grade TA19, is a near-α titanium alloy, its nominal composition is Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo, containing α stable elements Al, neutral elements Sn and Zr, isocrystalline β stable element Mo, and eutectic β stable element Si. Mo can improve the tensile strength at room temperature and high temperature, and enhance stability; The combined effect of Al, Sn and Zr can maintain long-lasting and creeping high temperature strength. The addition of Si will cause the precipitation of a certain silicide diffuse phase, which is conducive to improving the creep strength at high temperatures.

Ti6242 titanium alloy also has higher strength at 540°C, and its strength and creep properties are better than that of Ti811 alloy. The alloy has good processing performance and welding performance. The products produced mainly include plates, bars, forgings, ring parts and castings. It is mainly used to manufacture compressor receivers and aircraft skins of aero engines, with a maximum long-term operating temperature of 500°C. Our company has many years of research experience in Ti6242 titanium alloy bars, and has the ability to produce Φ10~300×Lmm bars in batches and stably in batches.

3,Chemical properties

Ti6242 titanium alloy has good corrosion resistance. However, there is also a certain susceptibility to thermal salt stress corrosion, and there is a delay in cracking the specimen in a room temperature brine solution.
