On November 7th, the Baoji Flight Technology Application Association held the fourth session of the first member congress and the Dual-Certificates Integration Excellence Talent Program meeting, where China's first pure titanium drone was officially unveiled and took its maiden flight.
This pure titanium drone was produced by Shaanxi Yikong Zhifei Intelligent Technology Group Co., Ltd., weighing 10 kilograms with a payload capacity of 20 kilograms and a flight endurance of 50 minutes. All parts of the fuselage are made entirely of pure titanium, representing a deep integration of technological innovation and industrial application.
"We started development earlier this year, leveraging Baoji's titanium industry chain. Compared to traditional drones, titanium drones are lighter, corrosion-resistant, high-temperature resistant, and have higher material strength. Moving forward, we plan to apply titanium drones in fields such as training, rescue, transport, and plant protection. This is an innovative direction in flight technology applications and will inject new momentum into Baoji's flight technology industry," said Qi Lei, Deputy General Manager of Shaanxi Yikong Zhifei Intelligent Technology Group Co., Ltd.
In recent years, drones have become increasingly utilized in emergency rescue, disaster prevention and mitigation, and public service, serving as an aerial force for protecting cities and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. On that day, Baoji's first 'Drone Public Welfare Rescue Team' - the Baoji Flight Technology Application Association Drone Public Welfare Rescue Team - was established, filling the gap in professional public welfare drone rescue capabilities in Baoji and supporting the city's emergency rescue system construction.
"Our goal in establishing the public welfare rescue team is to continuously extend the industry application advantages of drones. In the future, we will carry out activities such as missing person searches, emergency supplies delivery, and disaster site reconnaissance, contributing 'sky power' to safeguard and ensure the well-being of the public," said Li Bing, captain of the Baoji Flight Technology Application Association Drone Public Welfare Rescue Team.
