TC17 titanium alloy (also known as Ti-17) has a nominal composition of Ti-5Al-2Sn-2Zr-4Mo-4Cr. It is a near-β titanium alloy with high strength, high toughness, and high hardenability.

Characteristics of Different Forging Processes
TC17 titanium alloy billets are usually produced using conventional die forging (i.e., die forming), while billets produced via open-die forging are relatively rare. This is because, compared with conventional die forging, open-die forging requires higher on-site operational skills and is more challenging to perform. Billets produced through different open-die forging routes exhibit higher tensile strength, yield strength, and impact performance compared to equiaxed billets, whereas equiaxed billets have better plasticity than basketweave-structured billets.Our company is equipped with a 3500-ton hot forging machine, and we have mature processes and quality systems in place.
