Product Introduction
BT22 Titanium Alloy Bar has a nominal composition of Ti-5Al-5Mo-5V-1Cr-1Fe, corresponding to the Chinese grade TC18. It is a highly alloyed α+β type titanium alloy, featuring high strength, high plasticity, high toughness, and good welding performance, and is therefore widely used in the aerospace field.

3. Effect of Temperature on Microstructure

Characteristics and Applications
BT22 titanium alloy bar have characteristics such as high strength, high toughness, and good hardenability. It is a near-β type titanium alloy with excellent overall performance. The outstanding properties of BT22 titanium alloy, including high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high strength, have attracted widespread attention in industries such as aerospace.
With the rapid development of China's aerospace materials field, the performance requirements for aerospace structural components are becoming increasingly stringent. In particular, improving the performance stability of titanium alloy materials in high-temperature environments is a breakthrough for the development of aerospace technology. BT22 titanium alloy bars are often used in large aircraft forgings, control systems, landing gear, and high-load-bearing aerospace structural components, and they have been widely applied in aircraft such as the Russian Il-76.
Product Details
The ingots used for manufacturing BT22 titanium alloy bar and forgings are melted using a vacuum self-consumable arc furnace. The number of melting cycles should not be less than three, and during the final stable stage of the last melting, the pressure should not exceed 5 Pa (excluding melting with inert gas addition).
