BT5 titanium forged tube is a hollow tubular component manufactured by precision forging process using Russian grade BT5 titanium alloy (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn). As a typical near alpha titanium alloy, this product maintains excellent specific strength and corrosion resistance of titanium material while demonstrating excellent high-temperature stability, creep resistance, and welding performance through the solid solution strengthening effect of aluminum and tin. It is a key pipe solution for high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions in aerospace, shipbuilding, energy and chemical industries.

 

Product Description

 

The core value of BT5 titanium forged tube lies in its balanced comprehensive performance and adaptability to special working conditions. Compared with conventional rolled pipes, the forged microstructure has a denser grain structure and continuous and reasonable metal flow lines, significantly improving the fatigue resistance, stress corrosion cracking resistance, and overall structural reliability of the product. This product can maintain excellent thermal stability and durability in the temperature range of 450-500 ℃, especially suitable for applications with high safety and durability requirements such as hydraulic pipelines for aviation engines, heat transfer pipes for marine power systems, and pipelines for chemical high-temperature reactors.

 

Production process

 

Adopting multi process precision forging technology: Firstly, the BT5 titanium alloy ingot is subjected to multi-directional free forging below the β phase transition point to obtain a uniformly refined forging structure; Subsequently, the core shaft drilling and ring rolling process were used to accurately shape the pipe blank; The key heat treatment process includes reasonable solid solution treatment and annealing process in the α+β phase region. By precisely controlling the cooling rate, the ideal layered or bimodal structure is obtained, ensuring that the product obtains the best high-temperature performance and mechanical property matching. All processes have established a complete traceability system for process parameters.
